Well, an easy giveaway was that he was one of a tiny handful of Muslims in England who, after the 9/11 Twin Towers attack, chose to call their sons Osama.
You would think that anyone naming their baby after the greatest mass murderer of our age would be watched very closely indeed, especially as Abdulwahab had also been chucked out of his mosque for extremism and was making unexplained trips to Yemen and Syria.
Hindsight is always crystal-clear but it's hard to see what more Abdulwahab could have done to alert the authorities, short of wearing a T-shirt with the slogan: "I'm an Islamic bomber."
