.
Interviewer: How do you view this weekend's events?
Manager: Well obviously I'm disappointed that the Pools Panel awarded Oldham an away win, I thought we were unlucky but if we keep working hard we can turn things around.
Interviewer: Do you take responsibility for the result then?
Manager: No not at all, the players have got to take responsibility for this defeat completely. They need to take a long hard look at themselves. We'll go away and have a look at the blank DVD and see where we can improve and I'll mention my assistant so as I can try and deflect some of the blame.
Interviewer: There's been a lot of criticism of the amount of loan signings, what are your views?
Manager: I actually thought Dickinson has been showing some decent touches in training and is looking the most mobile he's been since he arrived.
Interviewer: That was actually a snowman the groundstaff made to try and lighten things up around the place.
Manager: Oh … err … right, well we can talk to the board in the week see if we can bring him in for the busy Christmas period. Offer him a new carrot and some buttons or something.
Interviewer: Mmm yes moving on, can you turn the season round?
Manager: Absolutely, I can guarantee we won't get beat at Charlton next Sunday, and we'll be working really hard in training to make sure that if the Southampton game gets called off we can keep things tight and try and nick a half-time no score draw.
Interviewer: So you're not worried at all by the constant calls for your head?
Manager: Not at all, I guided the club to its best finish for six whole years even though the Richard Money 2007/08 campaign saw us seriously challenge at the top end of the league in a much more convincing fashion; and did you know that Ray Graydon was just a coach really?
Interviewer: Well I'm sure everyone's in agreement with that last point. You're definitely just not coaching like Money or Graydon. Thank you very much Chris.
This is, of course, all made up. I mean we can't afford carrots.
