It has been organised by Dudley South MP Mike Wood with 40 companies and organisations taking part in the event.

It will be held at Cable Plaza, at Waterfront West. The fair will begin at 2pm and run until 6pm on November 12.

And Mr Wood said more posts may be available as more businesses sign up to the event.

Among the companies already signed up to take part are London Midland, Eon, Virgin Trains, Dudley College, McDonalds, the Royal Navy, Royal Army Engineers and Barclays.

Mr Wood said many of the firms would either be recruiting or offering training opportunities with the majority of positions in the Dudley area.

"I helped organise jobs fairs when employed by other MPs. Therefore one of my priorities was to organise one once becoming an MP myself," he said.

"This will be an opportunity for local employers to advertise themselves to the jobs market throughout Dudley South and beyond."

He said it was hoped more than 40 companies and organisations would be represented on the day.

Companies still have time to sign up for a stall at the fair. They are asked to call the constituency office on 01384 913123 to reserve a free stall.

People interested in the job vacancies or taking up extra training are asked to simply turn up on the day from 2pm.
