An employment law firm is hosting a free seminar in Cannock this month for businesses in Staffordshire.
Peninsula is to host the legislation update seminar on Thursday November 25, at Bar Sport, High Street.
There will be advice available on employment law and health and safety changes.
Peter Done, managing director of Peninsula, said: "The seminar is designed to give businesses a detailed low-down on Employment Law as well as Health and Safety.
"The main aim of the seminar is to increase employer's awareness and know- ledge of new and existing regulations. We hope this will allow businesses to understand the implications on their business of Employment Law and Health and Safety.
"Employers are wasting a lot of valuable time dealing with red tape which is affecting their performance."
The seminar will run between 9.30am and 12.45pm. Latest figures show the number of claims in the Employment Tribunal in 2009-10 was 236,100, repres- enting an increase of 56 per cent on 2008-09.
In addition, research highlighted that 76 per cent of UK employers were not competent in all aspects of Employment Law.
