Birmingham-based pub and restaurant chain Mitchells & Butlers is spending £19.5 million to buy 22 Ha Ha Bar & Grills, including one at Birmingham's Mailbox.

It is buying the restaurants from their parent company, Bay Restaurant Group.
M&B says it will turn 12 of the Ha Ha Bars into All Bar One city bars and six into Browns restaurants.
M&B chief executive Adam Fowle said: "Whilst small, this acquisition illustrates our ability to develop sites to create value for Mitchells & Butlers shareholders. It will provide an excellent opportunity to grow two strong brands, All Bar One and Browns."
The Birmingham company has some 2,000 outlets including the Harvester and Toby Carvery pub restaurants.
