The units will be located at a vacant site off Longacres where existing buildings will be bulldozed.

The proposal has been submitted by paper merchants Middleton Group who want to relocate part of its business from its site in Willenhall Road.

But planning documents confirm more jobs will be created as well.

The firm has not put a figure on new posts but the scheme includes parking to accommodate 25 staff.

The plans state: "The principle of the proposal would be supported as the site previously employed a number of people. The proposal would regenerate employment to the site and the proposal would increase employment floor space."

The development bid will be tabled before Walsall Borough Council's planning committee on Thursday. Officers have recommended approval.
