The extra work has seen Berck, based on the Lyng Industrial Estate, recruit two more staff to its 63-strong workforce.

The new contract will see Berck making components to eliminate the over-heating of wires in the engine.

The firm already employs two apprentices who are undergoing training to qualify as press setters.

Established in 1947, Berck specialises in metal pressings and subassemblies, working within the aerospace, IT, electronics, communications and medical sectors.
