Aspray24 in £4m deal to fund jobs and Willenhall depot

It will be situated next door to Aspray24's current head office on Noose Lane. The expansion of the group, aided by the funding from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, will see the company operating across a massive 18-acre site once work is finally completed this summer.

Aspray24, which has 600-plus staff, is one of the UK's largest independent transport and logistics companies, handling next-day express delivery, international delivery, warehousing and logistics.

The business operates a fleet of around 450 vehicles serving customers from small businesses up to international corporations such as locks giant Assa Abloy UK and Schneider Electric.

A family-owned firm established in 1982, Aspray24 has grown to an annual turnover of more than £30 million with a network of 13 fleet distribution depots across the UK.

Stuart Laight, managing director of Aspray24, said: "Our business has grown considerably over recent years and we have simply grown out of our existing warehouse operation and needed to relocate to much larger, more suitable premises, whilst remaining close to our head office rootsl.

"The brand new logistics warehouse on Park Road is perfect for our existing needs and also provides us with plenty of room to grow our logistics operation and its workforce in the future.

"Lloyds Bank has played an instrumental role in supporting our growth and development since our inception 30 years ago and this latest funding is another important step in driving on-going success."

The Lloyds funding has helped pay for the acquisition of the site and the building of the new warehouse, which the company says will enable it to handle more customer orders more efficiently.

The additional warehouse space will have 2.5 times the capability of Aspray24's existing facility.
