UK Mail makes two senior management appointments

Parcels and logistics company UK Mail, which has its head office in Birmingham, has made two senior management appointments.

Sarah Maddox has been appointed to the role of human resources director bringing with her 30 years of experience while Simon Baxter has been made customer strategy director. He has seven years' experience in a similar role.

Mrs Maddox joins UK Mail from National Express with whom she started in 1998 as a HR officer and progressed over a 14-year career with the company to head of HR. She will be responsible for implementing methods of attracting and retaining people to the business

Over coming months there will be projects around developing a people agenda that help the business achieve its goals, such as applicant attraction, staff engagement, and growing morale by reviewing how the business recognises and rewards people.

In addition to this a review will be done of the training and development function.

Simon Baxter has joined UK Mail after previously working for Anglian Water where he was head of developer services. Mr Baxter will be working closely with care centre managers and client teams to improve improving customer satisfaction.
