Staffordshire-based JCB is creating 350 new jobs as part of a £31 million engine development project in the UK.

The programme is getting under way after the firm was awarded £4.5m from the Government's Regional Growth Fund.

The new jobs will be created in the Midlands, Wales and Staffordshire, including the headquarters at Rocester.

It means good news for the 400-strong workforce at JCB's Cab Systems in Rugeley.

The firm says the new engines will "substantially" increase sales, increasing demand for cabs and creating more jobs at the Riverside site.
