A total of 100 new jobs will be created at two companies in the Black Country, it was announced today.

TK Maxx in Wednesbury and Complete Care in Gipsy Lane, Willenhall, are both taking on 50 new staff.

Clothing and homeware superstore TK Maxx will open on the Gallagher Retail Park in October.

Building work starts at the site, close to Junction 9 of the M6, on Monday - the same day, people can apply for the full and part-time sales assistants and management roles at Walsall's two jobs centres in Lichfield Street and Hatherton Road.

Councillor Ian Jones, Sandwell Council's cabinet member for the economy, said: "I know that the situation isn't good but if we can encourage new employers into the borough then that's great, and this is brilliant news."

The new jobs will be created at Complete Care after it was taken over in a management buyout. It provides home care for the housebound and those with mobility problems.
