Kidderminster hair salon wins national HBA award
Stacey McKnight Hairdressing has celebrated a major national achievement after being crowned the winner of ‘Best Salon Team’ at the 2026 Hair & Beauty Awards (HBA).
The prestigious awards ceremony took place at the AO Arena in Manchester on Saturday August 15, bringing together thousands of entrants and attendees from across the UK.
This year marked a significant change for the awards, which merged hair and beauty categories into one national event, making the competition even more extensive and competitive.
Stacey McKnight Hairdressing was recognised as the national winner of the highly competitive ‘Best Salon Team’ category, marking the first time the salon has won an award specifically recognising its team for its craft and dedication.
The achievement is a particularly proud moment for the salon, which opened its doors in July 2020 and has now won an impressive five industry awards since opening.
For Stacey, the national win is recognition not only of the salon’s success, but of the dedication and talent of the team behind it.
Salon owner Stacey McKnight said: “Winning Best Salon Team means so much to me because the success of our salon has always been down to the incredible people behind it. I’m so proud of the team we’ve built and of the talent, hard work and care they bring into the salon every single day. Everyone supports one another, celebrates each other’s successes and is always pushing to grow, both individually and together.

The evening was also a huge personal achievement for Stacey’s graduate stylist Leah Tidmarsh, who entered the Hair & Beauty Awards for the first time after joining Stacey McKnight Hairdressing two years ago. Leah reached the national finals in two categories, ‘Best for Blonde’ and ‘Best New Talent’.
Leah said: “I am beyond words with how grateful I am to have been a finalist at the Hair & Beauty Awards. It was my first time entering any awards, and to have placed so highly in the UK is an incredible achievement. I couldn’t have done this without Stacey by side encouraging me every step of the way. I will continue to work hard and most of all believe in myself.”
The national awards ceremony brought together some high-profile guests, including Professor Green, Dappy from N-Dubz, Katie Price, Princess Andre and Tinchy Stryder, making it a memorable night for the Stacey McKnight Hairdressing team.
