Murder investigation after man dies following attack in Birmingham
A murder investigation is under way after a man died after being attacked in Perry Barr.
West Midlands Police were called to Birchfield Road, near to Perry Barr train station, Birmingham, at just before 9.50pm on Thursday, October 23.
The man was found in a serious condition, and despite the best efforts of first responders nothing could be done to save him.

Following immediate enquiries, it was established he had been assaulted and police are now working to identify who was involved.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival crews found a man in a critical condition and immediately began administering advanced life support. Sadly, despite best efforts nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
Police say a cordon is currently in place as officers review CCTV and carry out other enquiries in the area.
Police say they are in the early stages of the investigation and are asking for anyone with information to contact them.
They are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, or who was travelling through and has dashcam footage.
