Beleaguered Wolves boss Kenny Jackett admitted his confidence-sapped side deserved nothing from last night's comprehensive 3-0 defeat at Brentford.

But the head coach reiterated his determination to turn things around.

Jackett came under fire during a disastrous loss at Griffin Park in which Wolves were completely outplayed.

It was their third defeat in a row – and their seventh without victory.

"First and foremost, it hurts, it's hard to take," Jackett said.

"In the end it was a comfortable win for Brentford, which was very disappointing.

"We've got negative momentum. We looked brittle at the back and as a side quite open, and open to the counter, and deservedly got nothing out of the game.

"It's been a rotten run and tonight was a disappointment.

"The confidence drained out of us as the game wore on.We didn't deserve anything out of the game."

Jackett made three changes from the side that lost at Huddersfield on Saturday but they made little difference as the Bees won comfortably.

He added: "Brentford repeatedly broke off our bad play tonight and deserved their win.

"We didn't cause them enough problems, we weren't solid enough in either shape, 4-4-2 or 4-3-3, and it was a disappointing performance.

"For my own future, that's for other people to decide.

"I'm determined, I'm confident of myself, I work away and try to come up with that winning formula, because we're not getting it at the moment.

"I wouldn't say the players didn't commit to it enough.

"The players will need all their character and determination on Saturday."

Winger Rajiv van La Parra was booed by his own supporters during the second half, in response to his social media faux pas this week when he boasted about his wages on his Instagram biography.

Jackett revealed he had spoken to the Dutchman about the issue.

"I have spoke to him about it. He's apologised and I'm sure will learn from it."
