The 20-year-old is currently third choice to No 1 Carl Ikeme and Tomasz Kuszczak, with Aaron McCarey out injured.

McCarey will return from back problems in the next month or so, with Flatt farmed out to gain his maiden first-team experience in the meantime.

He's been with the Wolves Academy since the age of eight and made his senior bow in a friendly against Bohemians last summer.

The Wolverhampton-born custodian penned a two-year deal at Molineux in August, with a further year's option in the club's favour, but is looked at as one for the future.

He's even been given permission to play for the Dragons in their FA Cup second round tie, against either Stevenage or Maidstone United.

He joined up with Wrexham today and, with Andy Coughlin and Dan Bachmann both out injured, could make his debut in Saturday's Conference Premier clash at home to Altrincham.
