Striker Markus Rosenberg has re-joined Malmo on a three-year contract after Albion cancelled his contract.

The Sweden international ended his unhappy 18-month stint at The Hawthorns after agreeing a settlement on the final year and a half of his Baggies deal.

He confirmed last night he had linked up with Malmo after flying to Florida to join the Swedish club's pre-season training camp.

The 31-year-old, who failed to score a senior goal in 33 appearances for Albion, spent four years at Malmo at the start of his career before leaving his hometown club in 2005.

He played for Ajax, Racing Santander and Werder Bremen before joining the Baggies on a free transfer.

Rosenberg confirmed his departure on Twitter and added: "Good luck for the rest of the season. Boing Boing."
