The side lost 3-1 following Saturday's fixture against FC United of Manchester.

The match was marred by trouble in the crowd, with a scuffle between fans, while flares were twice thrown on to the pitch, resulting in the match being stopped at one point.

But following the defeat at the Aspray Arena, fans spoke of their pride of the team, which was the lowest-ranked club remaining in the Cup.

Shaun Appleby, 45, from Walsall Road, Cannock, took along his seven-year-old son Dominic.

The HGV driver said: "It's disappointing. They have done brilliantly to get this far, they've done really well.

It was a great turnout for the lads. It's just a shame there was a bit of trouble."

Phil Atkinson, 46, from Watling Street, Brownhills, said: "I think it is fantastic, they played really well over the 90 minutes, it's just unfortunate they didn't win. They've done themselves proud to get this far, it's great for the community, it's a big achievement for them."

Ashley Rogers, 20, from Wheaton Aston, said he was 'really proud' of the team.

"They played really well. It's really going to boost them up, they just need to keep their heads up, not down after their loss. They played a good team, but they put up a good fight."
