As a teenager Daniel played on the Birmingham Bullets youth basketball team, as well as taking part in athletics. However, he soon came to find that it was the training rather than the competing he enjoyed most.

Daniel also took up indoor rock climbing and Parkour which introduced him to bodyweight training, something he could combine with the fitness training he had learnt in athletics.

Fancying a challenge Daniel joined the Territorial Army and became a fitness instructor, with one of his duties being to assess the fitness of potential recruits and build up training for passing basic training.

With a diverse background of sports and fitness methods Daniel does not believe in just one style of training, and believes you should listen to your body when training.

Daniel's fitness programmes require little space and minimum equipment, and mix up cardio, strength, and balance and coordination, and try to encourage people to train in the great outdoors.
