Annie Elizabeth Fellows remembers her time as a competitive dancer and riding a Lambretta to visit the Ballroom and Winter Gardens at Blackpool.

She was born in Cradley and married and the couple had one son.

In July last year she became a resident of the Dingle Meadow Care Home in Oldbury.

There she has become known to staff as always living up to her ideals and dressing smartly.

Annie always had a pet dog and particularly loved poodles.

She married and the couple had one son and in her younger days Annie enjoyed visits to a caravan in Wales.

Debra Leek, a 60-year-old co-ordinator at the home, said: "Annie believes that the secret to reaching 100-years-old is always looking your best.

"She is never seen without make-up.

"That is why we treated her to a pamper morning when she had her hair and nails done.

"We also celebrated the occasion with a cake made by our wonderful kitchen team, flowers and balloons."

Alison Carter, a 46-year-old co-ordinator at the home, said: "It was a wonderful day with Annie celebrating with staff and residents and two family members who came into one of our visitor pods."
