Ten people involved in crash on main road near Wolverhampton
Ten people, including three young children, were involved when four vehicles collided on a road in Wombourne today.
Three cars and a van, which ended up on its side, were involved in the smash on the A449 Stourbridge Road between Battlefield Hill and Beggars Bush Lane at around 1pm.
The van driver managed to get out of his vehicle and the nine occupants of the cars were described as 'walking wounded'.
West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman Claire Brown said: "When you see a vehicle on its side you immediately think the worst.
"The team of ambulance staff assessed all 10 patients at the roadside, three of which were young children.
"A man in his 30s sustained minor neck pain and two women were suffering from the effects of shock. Thankfully, no one needed further treatment in hospital and all 10 patients were discharged on scene."
