Woman seriously injured in Dudley crash

A woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a car in Dudley this afternoon.

She was airlifted to hospital after the accident, at the junction of The Parade and St James Road at around 3.10pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said she had suffered serious head injuries, and Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital had been alerted to her condition in advance.

The car involved ins believed to have been a silver Peugeot 206.

The air ambulance landed on a nearby school playing field.
