Three masked men burst into McColl's newsagents, in Belbroughton, during a 'frightening' raid on Sunday evening prompting a police investigation.

It comes after the shop, in High Street, was raided by robbers wielding hammers and baseball bats on October 26.

The latest raid happened at about 9.30pm when the masked men entered the shop, where they forced a female member of staff to open the safe and threatened a male member of staff with a knife.

They stole stole cash from the safe and cigarettes, and as they left the store they threatened a member of the public with a knife.

Police believe the group left the scene in a silver car, thought to be an Audi, which had been parked near to the Horseshoe pub.

No-one was injured during the incident.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area on Sunday night and saw anything suspicious to get in touch.

Detective Constable Rebecca Wittin, of West Mercia Police, said: "Thankfully no-one was injured during this incident but it was a frightening experience for everyone involved.

"We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it, or has any information which would help.

"This is the second incident at the location recently, and we are considering whether there are any links between the two.

"We are, of course very keen to find those responsible and bring them to justice."

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or through their website www.crimestoppers-uk.org quoting incident 667S of 6 November.
