The smitten singers shared a video on Instagram showing them trying to train the One Direction heartthrob's Great Dane.

Wolverhampton-born Liam's attempts weren't too successful, but pooch Watson is clearly a fan of his owner's new flame as he happily plopped his huge paw into her hand.

The lovebirds, whose secret relationship was revealed in February but is believed to have begun at the end of last year, are apparently now living together in Liam's Los Angeles home.

But Liam, 22, is currently thought to be back on home soil and he was clearly thrilled to see his four-legged friend again.

He shared another video online and captioned it: "Missed this crazy pup."

A source says Cheryl, who is still legally married to estranged husband Jean-Bernard, is even planning children with Liam, who at 22 is 10 years her junior.

A "friend" of the couple told The Sun: "Cheryl and Liam are getting more serious by the day.

"They want to make the most of their time with each other before Cheryl has to go back to the UK, so it made sense for her to come and live with him.

"They are so happy together and head over heels. It is definitely the real deal. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Cheryl had her first child with Liam."

Cheryl and Liam are yet to comment on the rumours, but Cheryl has made several big changes in her life recently, including sensationally quitting The X Factor.

She said she was focusing on making new music instead and a new album is expected later this year.

During their time in Tinseltown, Cheryl, 32, and Liam caught up with Cheryl's X Factor pal Simon Cowell for dinner.

He gave their budding romance the thumbs up, telling The Sun: "They're like two little chipmunks madly in love. Literally, they were so cute."
