Wyre Forest charity welcomes new trustee and launches search for fundraiser
Charity seeking volunteer fundraiser.
Wyre Forest Community Transport has appointed a new treasurer and is looking for a volunteer fundraiser.

Chartered accountant Roger Lindsay has taken over from interim treasurer Glen Collins, who managed the charity’s finances following the merger of Community Transport Wyre Forest and the district’s Dial-A-Ride in April 2025.
Now operating as Wyre Forest Community Transport, the charity’s Board of Trustees welcomed Mr Lindsay at their recent meeting.
Chair Trudi Elliott said: “Roger is a very experienced accountant and we are delighted he has agreed to take on this key position in our organisation.”
Mr Lindsay, from Halesowen, said: “I now have the capacity to undertake a voluntary role and I am happy to help what is a very worthwhile charity.
“The transport services it provides enable hundreds of people, who can’t access their own or public transport, to stay connected with their communities and attend essential medical appointments and social activities.”
The charity is now looking for a volunteer willing to organise a couple of fundraising events a year, with support from trustees.
Mrs Elliott said: “We rely heavily on grants and donations and to have someone dedicated to running one or two fundraisers – anything from a quiz night to a golf day – would help enormously in maintaining and developing our vital services.”
