Welsh Chamber Orchestra to perform concert in Bridgnorth
The orchestra will perform works by acclaimed composers and a new piece featuring Welsh baritone Jeremy Huw Williams
An award-winning orchestra will perform at a Bridgnorth church as part of a tour of Shropshire.

The Welsh Chamber Orchestra will play at St Mary Magdalene Church on November 26, with the concert beginning at 7.30pm.
The programme will include works by Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn and Morfydd Owen, alongside a new composition by Susie Self featuring Welsh baritone Jeremy Huw Williams.
The concert has been arranged by Shropshire Music Trust as part of the orchestra’s tour of churches across the county.
John Moore, the trust’s musical director, said the event would give local people the chance to enjoy a performance by a leading orchestra in the surroundings of St Mary Magdalene Church, which is also home to the English Haydn Festival.

He said: “This is one of our collaborative events where the Trust is able to support music promoters around the county, enabling them to grow the range of high quality concerts available to their community.”
Founded in 1986, the Welsh Chamber Orchestra has performed with internationally renowned soloists and undertaken several European tours, as well as concerts throughout the UK.
It has performed under conductor Anthony Hose, founder of the Buxton International Festival, and for many years was resident chamber orchestra at the Swansea International Concert Series.
Its programme there included works by Welsh composers, while its recording work has included numerous television programmes and an opera series that won a New York Film Festival prize.
