Walsall school honoured for community and charity work
Poppyfield Academy has been recognised with a national award celebrating its pupils' commitment to kindness, charity and community action
Poppyfield Academy has been recognised with a national award celebrating its commitment to kindness, charity and making a difference in the community.

The school has received the SuperKind Social Impact Award, which recognises schools that inspire pupils to support others through charitable activities, fundraising and community engagement.
Throughout the year, pupils have taken part in a range of projects supporting good causes, helping to raise money and awareness while learning about social issues and the difference they can make in their communities.
The award recognises the school's efforts to encourage children to become compassionate, responsible young people alongside their academic studies.
Rebecca Scordis, headteacher at Poppyfield Academy, said: "We are absolutely delighted to receive the SuperKind Social Impact Award. This recognition is a testament to the kindness, generosity and enthusiasm shown by our pupils, staff and families.
"We are incredibly proud of the positive impact our children have made through their hard work and dedication to helping others."
The school said its pupils' efforts have helped strengthen links with the local community while promoting a culture of empathy and kindness across the academy.
Staff and pupils now hope to build on the achievement by continuing to support charitable causes and community projects in the future.
