Ricky Warwick and The Fighting Hearts bring rock 'n' roll to Wolverhampton
The Northern Irish rock singer will bring his band to KK’s Steel Mill on November 11, with support from RT-Zed
Ricky Warwick is preparing to bring grit, guitars and a lifetime of rock ’n’ roll experience to Wolverhampton when he arrives at KK’s Steel Mill with The Fighting Hearts on Wednesday, November 11.

The Northern Irish singer and songwriter heads to the venue for a night that promises muscular rock, big choruses and the conviction of a performer whose appetite for the stage remains undimmed. Doors open at 7pm.
For Warwick, there has always been another song to write and another stage to conquer. From his breakthrough fronting Scottish hard rockers The Almighty to his work with Thin Lizzy and Black Star Riders, his career has combined hard rock firepower with a storyteller’s instinct.
The Almighty brought him UK chart success during the 1990s, establishing a reputation built on rugged vocals and songs with both bite and melody. His subsequent musical journey has broadened that approach, making room for the intimacy of acoustic songwriting alongside the full force of an electric band.
The Fighting Hearts provide a vehicle for that solo material, bringing Warwick’s own songwriting to the foreground. It is an opportunity to hear the artist behind the familiar band names: a writer equally comfortable drawing listeners into a personal story or sending a chorus surging across a room.
That versatility gives the Wolverhampton date particular appeal. Warwick’s music can move between reflective passages and roaring guitars without losing its directness, with his distinctive voice providing the thread that holds it together. Expect an evening driven by character and commitment as much as volume.
Support comes from RT-Zed, featuring Stiff Little Fingers drummer Steve Grantley, adding another experienced name to a bill with strong connections to the meeting point between punk attitude and hard rock muscle.
For audiences who have followed Warwick through the decades, the show offers another chance to catch a familiar voice in his own musical territory. For newcomers, it is an inviting introduction to a songwriter with plenty of miles behind him and considerable fire still in the engine.
Ricky Warwick & The Fighting Hearts, plus RT-Zed, play KK’s Steel Mill, Wolverhampton, on Wednesday, November 11, 2026. Doors open at 7pm.
