Record nominations put Lichfield businesses and communities in spotlight
A record 174 entries have been submitted for the annual Beacon Awards, celebrating achievements across Lichfield District
A record 174 nominations have been received for this year’s Beacon Awards, organised by Lichfield District Council.

The total is up 41% on last year and more than double the number received in 2024.
The awards recognise achievements across the district, from business growth and innovation to community projects and individual contributions.
An independent judging panel is reviewing entries, with finalists due to be announced in early November.
This year’s awards are supported by a number of local businesses, including Fradley Park-based Roxane UK, which returns as headline sponsor, and Palletways UK, which is sponsoring the pre-dinner drinks and Young Professional of the Year category.
Other sponsors include Crystal Care Collection, OnTick Events, MPS, Shire House, Vista Planning, Print & Digital and South Staffordshire College.
Councillor Richard Holland, cabinet member at Lichfield District Council, said: “With a record 174 nominations, there’s clearly so much to celebrate across Lichfield District.
“These awards give us the opportunity to recognise the businesses, organisations and individuals who make our district such a great place to live, work and do business.”
The winners will be revealed at a ceremony at the Royal British Legion Remembrance Gardens on Thursday, December 3.
