RAF cadets receive Richardson Brothers Foundation support
Funding will help 15 cadets from Kingswinford take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme and buy essential expedition equipment
Royal Air Force Air Cadets in Kingswinford have secured funding to help 15 young people take part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme.

The 2488 (Kingswinford) Squadron Air Training Corps applied to the Richardson Brothers Foundation for support, which will pay for essential expedition equipment, including tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, stoves and navigation tools.
The RAF Air Cadets is a youth organisation sponsored by the Royal Air Force, offering young people opportunities to develop skills through adventure, leadership and aviation.
The Kingswinford squadron has more than 60 cadets aged between 12 and 20, who meet twice a week as well as at weekends.

Chris Jones, committee member and grants lead for the squadron, said: “We're very grateful for this award, which will help remove any financial barriers to our young people participating in the Duke of Edinburgh programme.
“It ensures every cadet can benefit from these life-changing experiences, where they will explore the countryside, connect with nature and complete challenging expeditions.”
Jan Jennings, from the Richardson Brothers Foundation, said: “The Foundation is pleased to support the armed forces as well as educational opportunities for children and young people.
“We're delighted this funding will help Kingswinford cadets build confidence, resilience and teamwork skills that will benefit them in both service and civilian careers.”
