Kidderminster choir set to raise the roof for church repairs
Kidderminster Male Choir is holding two September concerts, including one to support repairs at St Mary’s
The voices of Kidderminster Male Choir are set to raise the roof to support urgent repairs at the town’s parish church of St Mary’s, in the first of two concerts this month.

After a small section of roof on the centuries-old Grade 1 listed building collapsed, the choir was eager to respond with a fundraising performance, which will take place on Friday September 11.
Choir chair Stephen Bishop said: “We are delighted to be able to help St Mary’s which is a wonderful venue in which to perform our range of powerful harmonies in a programme of familiar favourites.”
A week later, on Friday September 18, the “Men in Red” will take to the stage at Kinver’s Edward Marsh Centre, to present their Autumn Concert featuring a different repertoire and guest soloists.
Both concerts start at 7.30pm and tickets, priced £10 in advance or £15 on the door, are available at kidderminstermalechoir.co.uk.
The choir will also be hosting an open-door rehearsal at the Edward March Centre, Legion Drive, off Kinver High Street, on Tuesday September 22, with free entry for anyone who would like to watch or take part.
