Formed in Germany in 1976, Accept have become one of the most influential European metal bands of all time. Their unmistakable blend of thunderous riffs, commanding vocals and anthemic choruses helped shape the sound of traditional heavy metal and inspired generations of musicians.

The anniversary concert promises to take fans on a journey through the band’s formidable catalogue, with classics such as “Balls to the Wall”, “Fast as a Shark”, “Metal Heart”, “Princess of the Dawn” and “Restless and Wild” likely to be greeted by raised fists and deafening voices.

Led by founding guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and powerful vocalist Mark Tornillo, Accept remain a formidable live force. Rather than simply relying on nostalgia, the band have continued to release new material and perform on the world’s biggest metal stages. Their 50th-anniversary celebrations include a worldwide tour and a special anniversary album featuring guests from across the rock and metal world.

Opening the evening will be rising British heavy metal outfit Tailgunner. Formed in 2022, the band have quickly gained attention for their energetic take on classic metal, combining twin-guitar attacks, soaring vocals and the spirit of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal.

Tailgunner released their debut album, Guns for Hire, in 2023, followed by Midnight Blitz in February 2026. Produced by former Judas Priest guitarist and KK’s Steel Mill owner K.K. Downing, the second album further established the group as one of the most exciting young names in traditional British metal.

With Accept representing five decades of heavy metal history and Tailgunner carrying that unmistakable sound into a new generation, this promises to be much more than another concert. It will be a celebration of heavy metal’s past, present and future inside one of the genre’s most fitting venues.

Accept and Tailgunner play KK’s Steel Mill, Wolverhampton, on Thursday, August 27, 2026. Doors open at 7pm.

Tickets and further information are available from the KK’s Steel Mill website.
