Free breast screening event returns to Bilston after successful first session
Women are being encouraged to take advantage of free breast screening and advice at a second event in Bilston this Saturday
A free breast screening event in Bilston saw 47 women screened, with more than 30 others receiving advice and support.
The event, organised by the Dudley, Wolverhampton and South West Staffordshire Breast Screening Programme, took place at Morrisons supermarket car park in Bilston on Saturday, October 17.
A second event will be held at the same location this Saturday (October 24), from 9.30am to 4.30pm, with no appointment needed.

The team is hoping to encourage more women to attend, raise awareness of breast screening and address common misconceptions about the service.
Organisers said they had spoken to local women who believed they had to pay for screening, when the service is free.
The programme's main target group is women aged 50 to 71 who are registered with a GP in the Dudley, Wolverhampton or South West Staffordshire areas, although everyone is welcome to visit the event.

Visitors will be able to find out more about breast awareness, get confidential advice and support, and discuss booking an appointment if they have missed a recent screening invitation.
Breast screening can help detect cancer at an early stage, when treatment is more likely to be successful.
The programme is particularly keen to reach communities where screening uptake is low, including in Wolverhampton.

The team is also highlighting concerns that Black African and Caribbean women are more likely to be diagnosed with more aggressive forms of breast cancer and may be diagnosed at a later stage if they do not attend screening or seek advice from their GP promptly.
Women are invited to visit the pink mobile screening unit in Morrisons car park on Saturday to find out more about the service and the support available.
