Football and fairy tales as theatre show to tour 12 Staffordshire libraries
Family show combining football, fairy tales and live music will visit libraries across Staffordshire during the summer holidays
A family theatre show inspired by football and fairy tales will tour 12 libraries across Staffordshire during the summer holidays.
Footy Fairy Tales, created by theatre company Yarnbird Arts, is aimed at children aged four to 11 and combines storytelling, live music and audience participation with football-themed adventures.
The show features characters including striker "Cindy-Ella" and "Little Red Riding Hoodie", blending familiar fairy tales with the world of football.

The tour begins on August 10 and will visit libraries in Lichfield, Tamworth, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Kidsgrove, Uttoxeter, Burton, Rugeley, Cannock, Codsall, Perton, Stone and Stafford.
Sophia Hatfield, co-director of Yarnbird Arts, who wrote the show and performs in it, said the production aims to encourage children to enjoy reading and live theatre.
She said: "We're delighted to be bringing Footy Fairy Tales to libraries across Staffordshire this summer. We hope it will appeal to young readers, football enthusiasts and families alike."
Tickets cost £3 for the first child and 50p for siblings, while adults and children under three can attend free of charge.

Families are encouraged to book in advance through their local participating library.
