The workshops will give people the chance to try their hand at making a range of Christmas decorations while spending time with others.

This year's sessions include lantern making, wood slice decorations, felt decorations, festive rag wreaths, wooden houses and decorative Christmas frames.

The workshops are open to both experienced crafters and those wanting to try something new.

Lisa Tromans, creative wellbeing lead at Mary Stevens Hospice, said the sessions had created a welcoming space for people to learn new skills and meet others.

She said: "Our Christmas programme is a wonderful way to get into the festive spirit, have some fun and create something special to take home or give as a gift."

Money raised through workshop ticket sales will go towards the specialist palliative and end-of-life care provided by the hospice.

The workshops take place throughout November and December. Find out more at: marystevenshospice.co.uk/events
