Festival fever continues in Bilston with Come-Unity in the Park
‘A celebratory weekend of activities’
Hot on the heels of last weekend’s Bilston Carnival the Come-Unity in the Park Festival returns for its fifth consecutive year to Hickman Park, Bilston tomorrow (July 11), 1pm – 7pm offering free family fun and gospel-inspired entertainment.

The event, organised by the three local churches representing the New Testament Church of God (NTCG) Bilston District, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, will deliver a fun, family-oriented event with the aim of sharing God’s love through gospel music, creative arts and inspiring speakers, promoting faith and bringing a message of hope to the local community.
Attendees can expect an impressive showcase of gospel-inspired entertainment with worship provided by Divine, NTCG Walsall’s gospel quartet and gospel reggae artist, ‘Glama-wayne’ which stands for God.Loving And Musical Always.
Over the years, the festival has been supported by the Unitee Asian Church who always deliver an energetic and vibrant set which gets the crowd going. This year, they will be joined by Worshipper Bobby Saab, a well-known Asian Gospel artist, who will bless us with his vocal talents.

The Bilston District Youth & Discipleship Choir will also feature, along with praise dancers, and Gospel Zumba by Steve ‘The Encourager’ Maynard. Combined with the usual blend of festival favourites including bouncy castle, face painting, food hub and stalls the festival has something to keep the whole family entertained and best of all its free admission!
We are encouraging all attending Saturday’s Festival to register through Eventbrite, by searching for ‘Come-Unity in the Park Christian Festival 2026’.
The Come-Unity in the Park Festival forms part of a celebratory weekend of activities which culminates on Sunday (July 12) with a Ceremonial Civic Service taking place at the prestigious location of the University of Wolverhampton at The Halls in the city centre, between 10.30am – 7pm. This event is free to attend, and all members of the community are welcome.

Bishop Albert Watson, NTCG Bilston District Pastor who worked with his District Council and leadership team to bring this celebration weekend to fruition stated, “From its humble beginnings during 1976, the New Testament Church of God – Bilston District has collaborated and partnered with many community stakeholders to support local citizens over the past 50 years.
“I am hoping to see the weekend events filled with our members, friends, families, and communities that have supported us over this amazing journey.”
