Community spirit on show as store donates 100 Easter eggs to local charity
A Staffordshire convenience store is giving back this Easter by donating 100 chocolate eggs to a local community charity, following a community-led competition.
Premier Silverdale, located on the High Street, teamed up with rapid delivery platform Snappy Shopper to invite local residents to nominate a charity to receive the seasonal donation. After strong engagement from the community, Community Cupboard CIC was selected as the winner after receiving the highest number of votes.

The eggs will be distributed to individuals and families supported by the charity over the Easter period, helping to bring some extra support and seasonal cheer to those who need it most.
Premier Silverdale is run by husband-and-wife team Indy Singh and Ranj Kaur, who have been proudly serving the local community for over 15 years. Known for their friendly service and strong ties to the area, the pair have built a loyal customer base and are passionate about giving back.
Indy Singh said: “We’ve been part of the Silverdale community for many years, so it’s really important for us to support local people wherever we can.
“The response to the competition was fantastic, and we’re delighted to be able to donate these Easter eggs to Community Cupboard CIC and the amazing work they do.”
Community Cupboard CIC is a Newcastle-under-Lyme based community interest company dedicated to tackling food poverty, reducing hardship and bringing people together. Supported by National Lottery funding, the organization provides essential food supplies, household items and wider support services to individuals and families facing financial difficulties.
Alongside its core food provision, Community Cupboard CIC also runs initiatives such as a baby bank and access to essential care products, helping support people at all stages of life. The organization plays a vital role locally, offering not just practical support but a sense of community for those who need it most.
A spokesperson for Community Cupboard CIC said: “This is such a generous donation and will make a real difference to the people we support. The Easter eggs will be shared with families and individuals in our community, helping make the holiday a little brighter.”
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by both the store and Snappy Shopper to support local communities, combining convenience with meaningful impact.
Premier Silverdale offers rapid grocery delivery in as little as 30 minutes through Snappy Shopper, providing local residents with easy access to everyday essentials.
Indy added: “Working with Snappy Shopper has helped us better serve our customers, but also given us opportunities like this to give something back. We hope this brings a bit of joy to people this Easter.”
