Youngsters in Sedgley, Dudley, Halesowen, Brierley Hill and Stourbridge are being invited to enter the competition, with five winners set to have their designs used as the Mayor of Dudley’s official Christmas cards.

Entries must be taken to the nearest library by October 31, where they will be displayed for the public to see.

Mayor of Dudley Councillor Pete Lowe will choose one winning design for each of the five areas.

The judging will take place on the dates of the Christmas lights switch-on events in Dudley, Sedgley, Stourbridge, Brierley Hill and Halesowen.

Annette Templar, GLL sector library manager, said: “The switch on events are a highlight of local calendars and it’s great that the Christmas card competition will be part of what’s happening.

“Our libraries are at the heart of their communities, and we’re excited to be hosting these displays and seeing the designs.”
