Charity gives families free school uniform in weekend giveaway
Cannock families can pick up free school uniform this weekend as a charity gives away remaining stock ahead of the new school term
Families are being offered a helping hand with back-to-school costs as a charity holds a free school uniform giveaway this weekend.

Newlife The Charity for Disabled Children is making its remaining school uniform stock available free of charge on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6.
The giveaway will take place from 10am to 4pm at Newlife's Opportunity Centre, at the rear of the Newlife at Home store next to McDonald's on Hemlock Way, Cannock.
The charity previously held a £1 uniform sale, but has decided to give away the remaining items free of charge while stocks last.
A maximum of 20 items can be taken per person, while entry to the centre will be limited to 20 customers at a time.

Newlife's director of retail and sustainability, Carole Simpson, said the giveaway was intended to support families who may be struggling with the cost of school uniform.
She said: "We know school uniforms can be expensive and the costs of everything is rising rapidly, so this is our way of giving something back to the local community."
The charity said the uniform could help families who have not been able to get everything their children need, those looking for additional items, or schools wanting to increase their supplies of spare uniform.
The giveaway is part of activities surrounding the launch of Newlife's new-look Superstore.
