Cannock Soroptimists enjoy humorous talk from ‘Potty Plotters’
Soroptimists enjoy entertaining talk
Members of Cannock Soroptimists were treated to an entertaining talk from the “Potty Plotters” at their June meeting.

Elaine and Julia shared stories from their allotments, where their friendship first began, as well as offering members plenty of gardening tips and advice.
The pair revealed some of their tricks of the trade, including how to store onions and empty plant pots using old tights. Their allotments are home to a variety of fruit, vegetables, flowers and salad crops, with Julia’s record-breaking tomato weighing an impressive 3lb 5oz.
The gardening duo also spoke about their sideline of rehoming greenhouses, with 40 relocated so far. Each one proudly carries a sticker reading: “Erection by Elaine and Julia”.
Elaine joked that she would be interested if the government ever created a new role of “Minister of Allotments”, as she has plenty of ideas for the position.

The talk was met with plenty of laughter and was followed by a vote of thanks from June Bould, who was also presented with one of the bunches of flowers picked that morning by Elaine and Julia.
The Potty Plotters can also be heard on Radio Derby every Sunday at noon on “Live from the Allotment”.
