Josh Newbury has become an honorary member of Cannock Rotary for the 2026/27 Rotary year
Cannock MP Josh Newbury has been welcomed as an honorary member of Cannock Rotary for the 2026/27 Rotary year.

Mr Newbury was inducted at a meeting on Wednesday, August 12, continuing a tradition which has seen the Cannock Chase MP invited to become an honorary member of the club for more than 50 years.
Following his induction by Cannock Rotary president Colin Sutton, Mr Newbury thanked members for inviting him to take up the honorary role for a second time.
He praised Rotary's contribution to the End Polio Now campaign and its humanitarian work supporting people affected by disasters and conflicts around the world, as well as its support for local charities and good causes.
Mr Newbury also spoke about his early experiences as an MP, including getting to know the procedures and protocols of Parliament and establishing his constituency office in Hednesford.
He thanked members for the warm welcome he received when he attended a social evening at Cannock Bowling Green Club and said he hoped to attend more Rotary events when parliamentary and family commitments allowed.
The meeting also coincided with a solar eclipse, allowing members who wished to watch it to pause proceedings and go outside with suitable eye protection.
