The family-friendly event will take place at West Bromwich Town Hall on Saturday, December 12, from 2pm to 4.30pm.

The afternoon will feature traditional carols, festive favourites and performances from the Ladies La-la-Laaas Community Choir from NTCG Willenhall Tabernacle and the BUGS Ukulele Strummers from Halesowen.

There will also be a special appearance from Santa Claus, while refreshments and a mince pie will be available in exchange for a voluntary donation.

A raffle will offer the chance to win prizes including a £250 Selfridges gift voucher and a £200 Sainsbury’s gift voucher.

All money raised will go towards supporting children using Black Country Women’s Aid services who have been affected by abuse and interpersonal violence.

Chief executive Sara Ward said the concert would provide an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the charity’s 40-year history.

She said: “I am immensely proud of everything Black Country Women’s Aid has achieved over the past 40 years, and we want to close our anniversary year with a celebration that brings our community together.

“Our carol concert will be filled with music and festive cheer.

“By joining us, people will not only enjoy a wonderful afternoon; they will also help BCWA continue providing life-changing support for children.”

The event is sponsored by Hubtel IT, which has supported the charity’s IT and communications for many years.

Founder and director Neil Bayliss said the concert was a chance to celebrate the charity’s work while raising funds for people who need its support.

Tickets cost £5 per person and must be booked in advance.

They are available through the Black Country Women’s Aid website.
