Rugeley & District Lions Christmas Concert: A reflective look back at a magical evening

As we look back on the festive season, one event stood out as a truly memorable highlight — our Christmas Concert at St Augustine’s Church. The community of Rugeley asked for a Christmas Concert, and we were delighted to deliver it. The evening became everything we had hoped for: warm, joyful and filled with the spirit of Christmas.

The church was brought to life by the wonderful performances of the Haywoods Community Choir and the Uttoxeter Town Band, whose music created an atmosphere that felt both uplifting and deeply comforting. It was a reminder of how powerful it can be when a community gathers to celebrate together.

The concert was jointly hosted by our Lions group and St Augustine’s Church, marking the final event in what had been one of the busiest Decembers our Club had experienced. Lions Debra (Club President), Peter, Pauline, John, Elaine, Jane and Mandy were all on duty, and we were delighted to be joined by Town Crier Adrian, whose presence added a special touch to the evening.
