Explore autumn! Homebuilder and wildlife charity to host open walk for Staffordshire residents
Barratt Homes has joined forces with Staffordshire Wildlife Trust to organise a wildlife walk at Hem Heath Woods on Thursday, October 30.
The walk, which is close to the housebuilder’s Waterside development in Trentham, is open to members of the public and will start at 10:30am. Attendees are encouraged to meet at the Northern Reserve Car Park at Hem Heath Woods, where they will be taken on a guided walk by a member of the Wildlife Trust.
Kathryn Kavanagh, Senior Wilder Communities Officer at Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, said: “We look forward to showing the Barratt Homes team around our wonderful Hem Heath woodlands. This season is a great time to visit as we will get to see the amazing autumn colours and identify lots of woodland species along the way.”

Whilst having its own team present for the walk, Barratt Homes is inviting members of the public and residents of its Waterside development to come along for the walk and take in the beauty of the area at this time of year.
Alan Watt, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Manchester, said: “Strolling through areas like the beautiful Hem Heath Woods is lovely this time of year and its beauty will be heightened by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust as its team points out the key aspects of the woodlands during this exciting wildlife walk.
“We encourage anyone who can join us on this walk to do so, as it’s not only a great opportunity to get to know the area but also a chance to take a breath of fresh air and do some gentle exercise.”
The wildlife walk will begin at 10:30am from the Northern Reserve Car Park at Hem Heath Woods and will last for two hours.
The Waterside development is located on Chessington Crescent in Trentham, less than a mile away from Hem Heath Woods. It has a collection of three and four bedroom homes available from £285,000.
