Fun-filled pumpkin picking at Lower Drayton Farm
Residents from HC-One’s Littleton Lodge Care Home in Hednesford, enjoyed a wonderful autumn outing to Lower Drayton Farm in Penkridge on Wednesday, October 15, where they took part in a lively pumpkin picking experience.
The residents, accompanied by dedicated colleagues from the home, embraced the autumn spirit with a fun day of activities, from a scenic tractor trailer ride across the farm to exploring the pumpkin patch and getting creative in the carving barn. Laughter and smiles filled the air as everyone joined in the seasonal fun.
Farmer Richard at Lower Drayton Farm shared: “If you think you are too old for pumpkin picking, think again! They are all a lovely bunch and were a riot joining in with all the fun from the trailer ride to the carving barn and enjoying lots of banter along the way. Thank you for coming.”

The trip was a chance for residents to enjoy the fresh countryside air, connect with nature, and create new memories with friends and carers alike.

Morgan Munroe, Front of House Manager at HC-One’s Littleton Lodge Care Home said: “Our residents had such a wonderful time at Lower Drayton Farm. Days like these are so important for wellbeing – bringing joy, laughter, and a real sense of togetherness.”
