Cannock store nominated as the UK's favourite charity shop
Cannock’s Newlife Superstore has been named as one of the UK’s best after being nominated for a prestigious retail award.
The store on Hemlock Way has been shortlisted for the Charity Retail Association’s ‘The UK’s Favourite Charity Shop’ Award.
The competition was inundated with more than 5,000 nominations, with entries whittled down to a shortlist of 70 across the 12 regional areas.
For almost 35 years Newlife Superstore has been a destination for savvy shoppers who want high street fashion at bargain prices, which also stops clothes being sent to landfills.
As a charity shop, all proceeds from Newlife Superstore go towards supporting Newlife The Charity for Disabled Children, the UK’s leading charitable provider of specialist equipment for disabled and terminally ill children. But unlike traditional charity shops, everything sold at Newlife is brand new, donated by well-known High Street retailers.
Now the store is through to the second stage of the competition for the West Midlands region, Newlife shoppers have the chance to help the store to victory as the final stage of the competition is a public vote, so your help is needed to help the store take the regional title - and hopefully a shot at being the overall winner.
Just visit the Charity Retail Association website at charityretail.org.uk/the-uks-favourite-charity-shop to cast your vote and help Newlife Superstore be crowned the winner. Voting closes at midnight on Thursday, October 2, and the winners will be announced on Monday, October 6.
