Going back to the morning of October 11, 2022, when I came across the following picture was found in an old photo album that my mother had kept when we emigrated to Canada in 1971.

October 12, 2022, I posted the following picture of Springfield Road Boys School Rugby Team Wolverhampton England 1969-1970 on the Wolverhampton in old photographs Facebook website.

April 10, 2025, I located through the previous website, comments on the picture, and I was able to find and contact three boyhood friends Claude Verley, Rodney Dillon, and Lesly Lawrence, who I had not seen or spoken to in more than 54 years, when I emigrated to Canada. The names in the picture is almost complete, missing two names. It's been a real trip down memory lane (remembering those in the picture who have passed, including my best schoolmate Ken (Kenny) Bernard).

On April 12, 2025, I posted the picture on Bushbury, Fordhouses And Oxley Neighbourhood Watch, News And Events.

Those no longer with us, are Ken Bernard, Ezron Graham, Venton Campbell, Melvyn Pike and Delroy Lewis, I still visualize them playing and we played for each other and after our games, a glass of milk and off to home.

Story, picture and postings provided by Hugh Johnson who lived on Bushbury Road in the mid-late 1950s through to 1971, moved to Canada, and to this day still reads the Express & Star daily online, and is a lifelong supporter of Wolves.
