Full steam ahead for Kidderminster Male Choir
The Flying Scotsman will receive a musical welcome from Kidderminster Male Choir during the world-famous locomotive’s guest appearance on the Severn Valley Railway.
The ‘Men in Red’ will entertain the crowds with a free hour-long concert on the Kidderminster station concourse on Saturday, 26 July from 1.30pm, as part of SVR’s Swingin’ Sixties weekend.
Beatles classics will be a highlight of their programme, which will also feature probably the greatest train song of all time - Glen Miller’s Chatannooga Choo Choo.

A choir spokesman said: “We are honoured to be taking part in this special weekend, which celebrates the 60th anniversary of the preservation of the SVR line.”
Although the concert is free, the choir will have collecting buckets to raise money for local charities, including KEMP Hospice.
The Flying Scotsman will herald the re-opening of the full 16-mile Kidderminster to Bridgnorth line on Friday July 25, following the embankment collapse earlier this year, with more trips over the weekend.
