Local heroes cycle for heart health: Wolverhampton to Aberdovey ride raises vital funds
A determined team of cyclists from Wolverhampton showed true grit and generosity on Friday, 20 June, as they completed the iconic Wolverhampton to Aberdovey bike ride in support of heart patients within our community.

Setting off bright and early from West Park at 6.30am, the group pedalled over 104 miles through challenging weather conditions, reaching the finish line at Aberdovey Yacht Club between 3pm and 4 pm. Their dedication and perseverance in the face of the elements is nothing short of inspiring.
The sponsored ride has raised crucial funds for Have a Heart Wolverhampton, our community’s cardiovascular rehabilitation centre, which plays a vital role in supporting heart patients through recovery and ongoing health.

Thanks to the efforts of these incredible cyclists, and the generosity of their supporters, WCASG (Wolverhampton Coronary Aftercare Support Group) can continue its mission to deliver life-changing care and rehabilitation for those affected by cardiovascular conditions.

“We are so proud of our riders,” said Jen Davies spokesperson for WCASG. “Their commitment not only helps raise awareness but also directly supports the services we provide to heart patients throughout the city. Congratulations to each and every one of them.”
The team at WCASG also extends heartfelt thanks to the event organisers for delivering yet another well-run and memorable challenge, bringing the community together for a vital cause.
