Village's first pumpkin festival is as nice as pie
Organisers are celebrating the success of their village's inaugural pumpkin festival that took place over the weekend.

Claverley was full of autumnal cheer over the weekend as residents turned out for the pumpkin festival.
With the church dressed for harvest, community spaces across the village joined in on the festivities.
As well as a craft fair, Northern Soul disco, pumpkin trail and carving competition, medieval dancers were joined by a small tribe of Vikings to put on a display for visitors.
Key Change Choir, from Bridgnorth, joined the town on Sunday and filled the church with heavenly sounds to compliment the Sunday service.
Organiser and vicar's wife, Vera Ward, said the weekend was a resounding success.
She said: "It has been a very busy weekend but a lovely one. It had a lovely family atmosphere.

"We really wanted to bring the village together more. Since Covid people haven't got back into the habit of joining in, so it's been nice to bring everyone together.
"A lot of the community joined it to celebrate and to organise, everyone dove in to help out. It was just right, couldn't have been better."
