The guest of honour took to the stage to thank all those who had attended for their support before the video was officially unveiled for British Punjabi, the follow-up to Bus Driver which made Mr Heer a viral hit online.
Ms Randhawa said Mr Veer had approached her for help with the launch and praised him for his wonderful work and community spirit.
She said: "I'm so glad that he called me to ask about help as I had no idea about what he did until we spoke and I saw his video and you learn about his life, coming over from India and showing that this is his thing of driving the bus and making people happy.
"Even my kids, who are 20-year-olds, are telling me about him, so I listened to the song and what it's all about is how much Britain has given to him and how grateful he is and we should all be for what we have and how we should follow the law of the land.
